# Recipe: Monday brief, what needs you and what moved

A copy-paste prompt: your agent sweeps a cluster for open decisions, changed documents and what shipped, and writes a one-screen brief of what needs you.

> [!info]
> **For:** a founder or operator running a small team on agents, or a lead with several workstreams. **When:** Monday morning, or any time you have lost track. **Takes:** a couple of minutes of agent time. **You get:** a one-screen brief in your Inbox: decisions waiting on you, loose ends, what moved in each cell, and what shipped.

## The prompt

```text
Give me my Monday brief from onecell for <cluster, or "everything">.
Cover <period> (default: since last Monday).
1. Gather:
   - list_decisions with status proposed: what waits on a decision
   - list_documents updated since the start of the period, per cell
   - the latest repo snapshot and handoffs, if there are any
2. Draft "Weekly brief: <cluster>, <dates>" in my Inbox (dry run first):
   - A stats block: open decisions, documents changed, merges
   - Needs you: a checklist of decisions to make, empty or misplaced
     documents, and open questions from handoffs, with links
   - What moved: a table with one row per cell
   - Shipped: two lines, linking snapshots or postmortems
3. Keep it to one screen. Link to documents; don't copy them.
4. Reply with the three things that most need me this week.
```

## What your agent does

1. Finds what waits on you
   list_decisions returns every proposed decision, across clusters if you ask. These lead the brief.
2. Sees what moved
   list_documents with a date shows every new or changed document, which the agent groups by cell.
3. Spots loose ends
   Empty drafts, misplaced documents, and open questions left in handoffs.
4. Keeps it short
   One screen in your Inbox, with links rather than copies, and the top three in chat.

## What you get

A brief for Fernbrook, a made-up seven-person team. It found three open decisions, a draft with no owner, and an empty document on the hive.

## Variations

<details>
<summary>Open decisions only</summary>

Ask: “List every proposed decision across all my clusters, oldest first, with a link and one line each.” It is the fastest way to see what the team is waiting on.

</details>

<details>
<summary>A team brief on the hive</summary>

Save it to the team's hive instead of your Inbox, scoped to that cluster, and publish it after a glance. Everyone starts the week from the same page.

</details>

<details>
<summary>A daily start</summary>

Set the period to “since yesterday” and ask for the top three only, in chat, with no document.

</details>

## Tips

- Scope a brief to one cluster before sharing it, so work from other clusters stays private.
- Decisions first: an unmade decision blocks more work than an unread document.
- If the same loose end shows up two weeks running, fix it or drop it.
